Looked after a few fellas from the Hill who went up to Liverpool for stag. Had a table a Carragher's bar well and truly stocked up for them.

Nice of him.

Rate the fact Shelvey has a Harold Hill tat on his forearm...

REPPING.

Sounds like we missed a bullet there.

According to a lot of their supporters, he absolutely owned their relegation too, norm son.

He's one of the ugliest footballers ever. Looks like a fucking constipated dissident.

Reason enough not to sign him = Case closed.

He owned us at St James.
Took us apart.

Re: Jonjo Shelvey - The epitome of committment
According to a lot people posting for real as well (at least last year)

To be fair, Noble will never be the greatest defensive midfielder though he has a few of the attributes and will keep trying. But letting him get forward more and having people moving around him has made him better this year.

Shelvey better than Noble.

According to rodfarts.

Re: Jonjo Shelvey - The epitome of committment
They didn't negotiate a relegation clause for Shelvey so he will be picking up £80,000 a week in the Championship.

I can't see them coming up next season, which I'm glad about.

Re: Jonjo Shelvey - The epitome of committment No FA charge
True Geordie rages about Newcastle lose at home to Bournemouth, he sums it up lovely and doesn't like Graham Carr much, fantastic stuff.

Seems a bad egg to me. A typical Newcastle signing in many ways. Glad we didn't go near him. Yes he can ping a pass, but..''

Shearer talks like he thinks he could do better whilst forgetting he has proven that he can't.

Re: Jonjo Shelvey - The epitome of committment
I'm not sure the manager has a massive say in the players that come in up there does he? Their 'famed' scouting team headed by Graham Carr seemed to get all the plaudits a few years ago, he got a lot of stick from Shearer recently I think.

Re: Jonjo Shelvey - The epitome of committment
That young centre half whose been playing recently looks decent, forgot his name. when the Geordie were doing well under keegan
They was lovely too watch, but even back then I felt they was gonna implode at any time and they did when fergie got under Keegans skin.

McLaren bought far to many players with no premier league experience. Shelvey is a decent passer but effort and fight he truly lacks. I'd rather noble than him all day.

By all accounts. It's all part of a Cockney Conspiracy.?

First send them Pardew. Then send Shelvey to finish the job.!

Re: Jonjo Shelvey - The epitome of committment
I read somewhere (possibly on here) that they've spent over £75m this season on players. That's an obscene amount to dish out only to go and get relegated.

Maybe if he got a game they might have stayed up??

Re: Jonjo Shelvey - The epitome of committment
They were unlucky to lose Krul for the season but seemed to have too many lightweights who didn't seem to fancy it away from home especially.
Players like Sissoko seemed to be looking for their next move & a lot will be out the door.
From what I saw only Townsend and Colback seemed to be good enough or giving enough.

Re: Jonjo Shelvey - The epitome of committment
He had a stormer against us unfortunately.

I work with Geordie fans and they seem to blaming a lot more players than Shelvey. Wijnaldum (who I wanted last summer) is getting a load of grief for being a bottler. I said West Ham would take Jaanmaat but apparently he's been crap since Christmas and can't defend very well.

Then there's Cisse, Collocini, Taylor and a couple of frenchies who cost a lot Thuarvin and Cabella who are blamed for costing so much but not cutting it.

Sounds like a mess up there. Would hate to see their wage bill.
